The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art reopened in 2016 with a ten story addition designed by the Norwegian architects Snohetta. The original building facing Third Street was designed in 1995 by the Swiss architect Mario Botta. The facade is covered with rippling white fiberglass reinforced plastic panels.
PIER 26
In Tribeca in Hudson River Park, you’ll find Pier 26 designed by Olin Studio.
The mission of the pier is to bring to life the ecology of the Hudson River Estuary through educational elements. The tide deck brings visitors down to water to see a rocky salt marsh environment. The pier includes a two story restaurant and boathouse, lawn, playing fields, lounge deck and river promenade.
