MUNCH Museum
Located in Oslo, Norway, the Munch Museum moved to this new location in 2021.
The museum is dedicated to the art of Edvard Munch and was designed by estudio Herreros. Organized vertically, the visitors move up from the lobby on escalators or elevators to the exhibit rooms with a restaurant on the top level. The exhibits tell the story of Munch’s life in the context of Norway at that time. The glass facade has perforated aluminum panels with varying degrees of transparency to shade the glass and catch the reflections of the sun at different times of the day.
