JARDIN MAJORELLE MARRAKESH
Located in Marrakesh, Morocco, the Jardin Majorelle is a two acre botanical garden that was created by the French artist Jacques Majorelle over 40 years beginning in 1923.
The garden includes a cubist villa by the architect Paul Sinoir. The painter used a special shade of cobalt blue in the garden that was inspired by local tiles seen in Marrakesh. The garden fell into disrepair over the years and was purchased and restored by Yves Saint-Laurent and Pierre Berge in 1980. Open to the public, the garden has over 300 plant species from 5 continents as well as a cafe for a snack during your visit.
